Pros of CoolHandle Web Hosting:-
Web hosting services and their plans
CoolHandle has achieved expertise in making their customers knockout with the essential and incomparable attributes in their plans. Let’s have a fleeting look at plans and pricing offered by the company:
Shared hosting services
For Shared hosting plans, the CoolHandle offers three different plans, which includes both common and exceptional features.

- Below is the screenshot of updated pricing, and offers that a customer can avail in each plan:
VPS Hosting Services
If you have taken shared hosting services, and due to an increasing number of visitors you need more bandwidth, storage space, or security, you can simply upgrade your plan to VPS hosting services. For the VPS hosting services, the CoolHandle also provide three different plans. With the VPS hosting service plans, you get the following advantages:
- Full root access
- Easy to install advanced software
- Self-managed virtual private servers
- cPanel for easy administration
- Redundant infrastructure
- Data is stored on an SAN to provide better disk throughput, on which you can count on.
Below is the screenshot of plans with their updated prices.
Update: Coolhandle no longer offers VPS Hosting Services.
The Reseller hosting services include three plans. The basic plan starts from $49.95 per month. With the reseller hosting plan, the user gets following features with every plan:

The redundant data center infrastructure of the CloudHandle primarily comprises of the CloudFlare CDN (cloud delivery network), high-performance servers, Cisco enterprise-level network, managed Dos/Sos mitigation, full scalable SAN storage, and powerful servers with excellent speed. The CoolHandle has designed its data center to safeguard your website from botnets, hackers, and phishing scams.
Only a company, who is much more confident about its services can offer 30-days money back guarantee to the customers. If the customer doesn’t like the service, he can ask for the refund within the 30days of his purchase of the service. This guarantee is only applicable to the hosting itself. You cannot claim for the refund of domain registration, setup, and other additional services fee that you have paid.
Compensation for the Downtime
Yes! You have read right! CoolHandle promises 99.9% uptime and if uptime falls below the promised uptime, they are ready to compensate. They will return your hard earned money in the form of credits or free services for the time your server was down. To check their down time, we run a test, below is the result of that test:
The result is satisfactory. This result is captured from Uptime Robot.
Always ready to handle traffic outburst
Moreover, the company management openly guarantees less than 50% of utilization of their own links. This dramatic reduction of utilization in their links always helps them to handle the traffic outburst without even dropping a packet.
Everybody delight in freebies so does I even. There is no second thought that CoolHandle knows how to lure their customers. It offers free dedicated IP address, website-builder and set-up, Fantastico script installer, free private domain registration for the lifetime, and CloudFlare CDN support. Getting all of these services at $12.95 per month is no doubt a lucrative hosting deal.
Compatible with all the latest software
CoolHandle provides you the freedom to work with all the latest technology. It is compatible with Fantastico, Python, PHP5, Custom PHP.INI, Perl, Ruby on Rails, CGI scripts, CRON jobs, and multimedia files (Shockwave, Flash, etc.).
Supports 18 different TLDs
It supports 18 different TLDs that gives a liberty to the customer to create his website in different domains, such as .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .name, .ca, .me, .cc, .eu, .co.uk, .de, .jp, .mobi, .nl, .co.nz, and .us. Every TLD has different price. You can pay the amount and create your new website in a domain you like.
Within 30 days of signup or upgrade, CoolHandle allows you to transfers the web content of your new accounts or the accounts that are being upgraded (that require a server move) at FREE of COST. However, if your data and files are more than 10GB then you won’t be able to avail their free migration services. Besides, transfers beyond 30days free period would mean you need to pay for the services.
There are many web hosting companies, which claim to be one of the green hosting companies, but actually, they do not give any proof. The electricity consumption of the CoolHandle is 125% powered by renewable energy. The company has recently started working with 3 Degrees, Inc (a new renewable energy partner) to find out more innovative ideas to become more eco-friendly.
Support for Linux and Windows
Like Godaddy and Hostgator web hosting service providers, CoolHandle also provides services for both Linux and Windows OS. For the Linux users they provide cPanel control panel, whereas, for the Windows user, they provide Helm and Plesk control panel. It is a great advantage for the developers and software engineers who develop applications and software on both the platforms.
Neat & Clean User-friendly Control Panel
The home page of CoolHandle has a neat and clean interface. The tabs of main pages are aligned in the top-left corner and the content of the selected page is shown in front of you. Below is the screenshot of cPanel of CoolHandle:
The Control Panel is accessible to all the users. To access advanced features of Server Administration and Power User, we can read articles in the knowledge database given on the website. You can visit their support page to read the solution for any of your query. Plus, to provide clear usage of the resources for which you have paid, the CoolHandle displays the status of your resources on the home page, such as
- Main Domain
- Home directory
- Last login from
- Disk space usage
- Memory bandwidth transfer
- Email accounts
- Parental domains, etc.
Performance parameter of Coolhandle server
To get a better picture of the server performance offered by the company, we checked through different online tools available. As per our research result, I found that their existing and company’s website is hosted on Cyberverse, Inc. server. We tried to dig in more to find out more about the data center which located in Los Angeles. Cyberverse is a leading colocation service provider to businesses across the globe. The company’s offers have co-hosted their servers in the Cyberverse data center which are pretty common in hosting industry. The best part is that Coolhandle has joined hands with the third-party host to offer relatively good hosting provisions. Below is the screenshot of results of the test conducted on bitcatcha.com search and test:
Cons of CoolHandle Hosting
As the wise people have said, “nothing is perfect in this world,” so is none of the web host providers. And CoolHandle is also one of them. Below we have enlisted some of the cons of CoolHandle web hosting services.
Customer support services
To check the options available for the communication with the customer support, we tried to connect to their contact us page. They have given a Toll Toll-Free number (866-200-2828) and e-mail customer support. There wasn’t any online or live tech support option.
To check their turnaround time, we further made a call on their toll-free number few times, and their number doesn’t exist to provide instant support. Next, to check the effectiveness of the e-mail customer support, we sent a query on their e-mail and instantly, an auto-generated mail pop into my account, which includes the ticket ID, subject, department, priority, status of my query, and a promise to answer my query.
Another disheartening thing which we noticed about them is that the auto-generated mail they send in the response to the general queries asked by the new customer shows the status of the query as less important. Unfortunately, I will rate poor to mid-range grade to the customer support service of the CoolHandle.
To analyze the experiences of other users, we tried to search out and read reviews of the customers published on different social media platforms and forums. Below, we have shown good and bad reviews about CoolHandle Services and their customer support:

Yesterday I accidentally erased my blog database. today it is back! Thanks #Coolhandle for the service!

We also found few more complaints about Coolhandle on ComplaintsList.com
Although there were some mixed customer reactions about Coolhandle services on another popular web hosting review site know as WebHostingGeeks
Here is another Coolhandle Video Review by Ronald Thompson. He had a bitter experience with Coolhandle and shared his review in a video on YouTube. Check it out.
Customer Data / Backup of data-
You will be solely and completely responsible for backup of your data. CoolHandle doesn’t take any accountability for the management and backup of any customer data, and any updates, upgrades, and patches to any software that customers use while availing their services. The company has clearly mentioned that they will not attempt to back up any account which is more the 5GB.
In the bottom line- Do We Recommend Coolhandle Web Hosting?
Bloggers, developers, and entrepreneurs who are looking for the essential and uncommon services will definitely go for the CoolHandle web hosting services. Though their prices are bit high and customer support is not that effective, their exceptional services offered in the plans will never fail to allure the customers. The reviews of the existing customers (who get on-time assistance) on the different social media channels shows the increasing trust of the customer on the CoolHandle web hosting services.
We hope, our thorough review of CoolHandle web hosting service, plans, and their performance must have helped you in making a decision and clearing your doubts about the company. Though their plans are quite overpriced, but the essential services and good uptime they offer can multiply your revenue.
In our opinion, they are not the web hosting company that we would like to recommend to our readers. Although their server performance is good. If you have a small or medium scale business, or just set up your business, you may give Coolhandle a try.
